1. Pro Tour Kaladesh (Draft & Standard)
Po trochu nižší účasti na PT v Sydney se nám lokace dalšího PT přesunula na populární Hawaii, kam si řada hráčů pošetřila svoji pozvánku, což ve výsledku znamenalo, že šlo o jeden z největších PT vůbec s účastí 466 hráčů.
Čeští hráči a diváci byli určitě namlsaní velkými úspěchy z předchozích PT a tentokráte mohli fandit velmi početné výpravě, ve které se nacházely stálice jako Lukáš Blohon, Petr Sochůrek, Martin Jůza, Ondřej Stráský, dále další ostřílení hráči jako Jaroslav Bouček, Jan Ksandr, ale také debutanti, mezi které patřili Matěj Malý, Jiří Obraz, Adam Seidler a také naturalizovaný Ricardo Simoes.
U tohoto PT bylo velmi zajímavé sledovat standard, jelikož oproti jiným PT byl před samotným turnajem pouze jeden velký standard, což o formátu příliš nenapovědělo. Na SCG nebyly přítomny skoro žádné kontroly a zajímavé bylo tipovat, jestli se prosadí potenciální kombo kusy jako Aetherworks Marvel, Metalwork Colossus, nebo Aetherflux Reservoir.
Pro mě osobně ale nastalo největší zklamání PT hned po jeho začátku, kdy jsem zjistil, že LSV vytřídal v komentátorském stanovišti Randyho Ruehlera, který po mnoha letech ukončil svou spolupráci s WoTC. To tedy znamenalo, že LSV nebude útočit na rekordní čtvrtou top8 v řadě.
Ale zpět k samotnému turnaji - hned po zveřejnění metagame v prvním dni všechny překvapilo, že suverénně nejhranějším deckem byly různé varianty Aetherworks Marvelu, které tvořily více než 20% herního pole. Deck byl přitom relativně nekonzistentní a velmi náchylný na counterspelly a sidovky jako Lost Legacy. Vidina rychlého goldfishe a hlavně vynikající matchup s dalším tier deckem - BG Delirium, to byly zřejmě hlavní důvody, proč si tolik hráčů vybralo právě tenhle deck.
Sedm nejhranějších decků v prvním dni bylo:
- Temur Aetherworks - 82× (17.6%)
- BG Delirium - 55× (11,8%)
- BR Aggro - 38× (8,2%)
- RG Energy Aggro - 31× (6,7%)
- RW Vehicles - 29× (6,2%)
- RB Zombie Madness - 21× (4,5%)
- UWR Control - 18× (3,9%)
Do druhého dne postoupilo 293 hráčů a zajímavé bylo, že složení decků se oproti prvnímu takřka nezměnilo. Ze statistického pohledu tak nelze říci, že by na formátu byl nějaký dominantní deck. V praxi tomu bylo trochu jinak, ale o tom až za chvíli....
Důležité je zmínit, jak se PT vyvíjel pro konkrétní hráče. Po prvním dni byli na čele dva neporažení hráči, kteří měli společné to, že hráli vlastní, neobvyklý dvojkový deck.
První byl Shota Yasooka s Grixis kontrolem vlastní konstrukce (Shota se navíc na turnaj připravoval úplně sám, takže jeho výsledek má o to větší hodnotu) a druhý byl Eric Froehlich s vlastní konstrukcí BG Deliria. Jednalo se o maximálně agresivní verzi s Gnarlwood Dryadami, Verdurous Gearhulky, Smuggler's Copter a hlavně s playsetem Blossoming Defense!
A i na třetím místě byl hráč s velmi originálním deckem. Byl to Pierre Dagen s UR kontrolem, který byl založený na velkém množství prolizu a Dynavolt Tower.
Mírným zklamáním byly výsledky našich hráčů. Pouze dva z nich dosáhli na skóre 6:2. Byli to Matěj Malý a Omdřej Stráský. Dalších pět hráčů postoupilo do druhého dne a paradoxně dva nejlepší hráči z předchozího PT tentokrát vůbec nepostoupili do druhého dne (Lukáš Blohon a Jan Ksandr).
Ve druhém dni pokračovala krasojízda Shoty Yasooky a naopak Eric Froehlich si dal 0:3 na draftu, což znamenalo skoro jistě ztrátu naděje na top8.
Co se dále druhého dne týče, tak na tomto PT bylo zavedeno nové pravidlo pro top8, kdy první dva hráči po základní části postoupí přímo do semifinále a naopak hráči na pátém až osmém místě musejí hrát jakési předkolo. To všechno bylo kvůli tomu, aby se snížil počet taktických remíz v posledních kolech.
Dvě postupová místa do semifinále obsadili Shota Yasooka a také nečekaný vítěz základní části, řecký hráč Makis Matsoukas, pro něhož to byl vůbec první PT v kariéře! Makis se tak vysoko dostal hlavně díky standardu, kde hrál extrémně agresivní RW tokeny s Reckless Bushwhackerem. Šlo o vůbec jediného neporaženého hráče na constructed, když si po perfektním 8:0 mohl dovolit dvě remízy.
Dvě místa pro klasické čtvrtfinále obsadili Pierre Dagen a Matt Nass s Aetherworky. Pro Matta to byla vůbec první PT top8 v životě, což je docela překvapivé, jelikož na GP okruhu už posbíral mnoho úspěchů...
Zbývající čtveřice v top8 byla Carlos Romao (Jeskai Control), Ben Hull (RW Vehicles), Lee Shi-Tian (4C Vehicles) a Joey Manner (UW Flash).
Jak tedy vidíte, v top8 bylo osm různých decků (a jenom čtyři z nich hrály Smuggler's Copter), ačkoli tři z toho byly různé variace agresivních vehicle decků. A překvapením byly určitě hned tři různé kontroly.
A právě kontroly celou top8 ovládly, když se ve finále střetli Shota Yasooka a Carlos Romao. Jednalo se o velmi zkušené hráče, z nichž už oba měli na svém kontě vítězství na PT okruhu (Carlos navíc mohl stylově navázat na GP, které výhrál o týden dříve). Druhý titul si nakonec po čtyřech vyčerpávajících hrách připsal Shota Yasooka, což z něj dělá opravdového mistra kontrolních strategií.
Co se týče našich hráčů, tak do peněz se dostali pouze Martin Jůza za 36. místo (hlavně díky perfektnímu 6:0 na draftech) a Ondřej Stráský na 48. místě.
Smůlu měli Adam Seidler a Matěj Malý, kteří obsadili dvě první místa bez finanční prémie (tedy 65. a 66.). Nadstandardní počet pro pointů (za účast na PT jsou automaticky tři body) si odnesl ještě Petr Sochůrek, který obsadil 102. místo.
A teď je čas se podívat na jednotlivé decky. Celkem 148 hráčů dosáhlo na skóre 6:4 a lepší. Souhrný přehled archetypů, které hráli, vypadá takto:

Podrobný přehled všech decků je tak dlouhý, že si zaslouží vlastní okno.
Z tohoto přehledu to stále vypadá, že Aetherworky turnaji dominovaly, nicméně to se radikálně změní poté, co se podíváme pouze na decky, které uhrály pouze skóre 7:3 a lépe:

Tady už jasně vidíme, kterým deckům se dřilo nejlépe. Skrytým vítězem PT byl UW Flash (Aggro), se kterým dokonce čtyři hráči uhráli 9:1! Tenhle deck navíc hrálo i v prvním dni pouze šest hráčů, takže s ním i ten nejhorší uhrál 7:3, což jsou úctyhodná čísla.
A naopak tady vidíte, že Aetherworky nebyly příliš úspěšné, což bylo zpsobeno tím, že na předních příčkách bylo docela dost kontrolů, což je pro Aetherworky takřka nevyhratelný matchup.
Mezi další propadáky můžeme zařadit ještě Metalwork Colossus decky, WB Control (s tím ani jeden hráč neuhrál 6:4 a lépe) a Delirium, což ale bylo (jak už jsem ostatně zmiňoval) způsobeno hlavně vysokým počet Aetherworků.
A ještě, než se podíváme na jednotlivé decklisty, tak tu pro vás mám přehled deseti nejhranějších karet z Kaladeshe (celkem se v úspěšných decích objevilo 84 různých karet z Kaladeshe).
10. Woodweaver's Puzzleknot
Na první pohled úplná crap komona, ale ve skutečnosti to byl ideální energy enabler pro Aetherworky a pěknou synergii měl i s Metalwork Colossem.
9. Servant of the Conduit
Dvoumanoví manovači jsou v posledních letech stálice standardu a platí to dvojnásob, když umí zafixovat manu a jsou alespoň trochu relevantní v kombatu.

Kdo by nechtěl ve čtvrtém kole zahrát jednoho z eldrzi titánů...
7. Scrapheap Scrounger
Rezilientní bytost pro aggra a hlavně základ selfmill a madness decků, díky interakci s Prized Amalgamem (byl k vidění i v agresivních verzích Deliria, kde se navíc hodil i jako extra cardtype do hřbitova).
6. Attune with Aether
Další nenápadná commonka, která ale hrála důležitou roli v plno decích, když dodávala potřebonuo energii a zároveň fixovala manu.
5. Fastlandy
Původně jsem si myslel, že fastlandy nebudou na standardu tak dobré, jelikož jsme před rotací mohli vidět spoustu pomalých midrange strategií, kterým se příliš nehodilo, že jim v lategamu budou chodit země taplé do hry, nicméně aktuální standard je poměrně svižný a mít přístup ke všem barvám hned v úvodu hry bylo často klíčové.
4. Ceremonious Rejection
Natolik efektvní sidovka, že ji dokonce někteří hráči kontrolů zařadili i do mainu. Za manu zkántrovat libovolného eldrazi a protivnou Smuggler's Copter je prostě k nezaplacení.
3. Harnessed Lightning
Energie se ukázala jako velmi ovedená mechanika a Harnessed Lightning je bezpochyby jedním z nejlepších removal spellů na formátu. Díky energy synergiím se často stávalo, že se zbavil mnohem větší bytosti, než je 3/3 (na feature matchi jednou dokonce zastřelil Metalwork Colossa).
2. Smuggler's Copter
Nejvšestrannější "bytost" formátu, kterou jsme mohli vidět ve velkém množství různých decků a jejiž přítomnost na formátu určitě ovlivnila všechny hráče při stavbě decku. Zároveň je to povedená reklama nové edice, když máme vehicly jako jednu z hlavních tématik. Osobně jsem zvědavý, jak dlouho potrvá, než se začne hrát i na dalších formátech.
1. Aether Hub
Je to trochu překvapení, ale Smuggler's Copter nebyla nejhranější karta edice. Aether Hubů se v nejúspěnějších decích dohromady nacházelo hned 332!
Barevná fixace pro vícebarevné decky, která jde do hry untaplá a vždy dá libovolnou barvu, to je velmi žádané zboží. Díky dalším energy kartám se zároveň dala použít opakovaně, což z ní dělá o mnoho lepší kartu, než je třeba Tendo Ice Bridge. A další nepatrná výhoda je, že slouží jako bezbarvý zdroj pro eldrazi. Inu, dobrá manabase je prostě základ všeho...

2. Starcity Games Regionals (Standard)
Již tradičně se souběžně s Pro Tourem konaly SCG Regionals. Většinou se stává, že hráči zde zkouší nové decky, které se objeví v prvním dni na PT, ale tentokrát tomu tak nebylo.
Pravděpodobně je za tím to, že nejhranější deck PT bylo kombo, které jinak mezi hráči nemusí být tolik populární a že deck s nejlepšími výsledky (UW Tempo) prakticky unikal veškeré pozornosti až do té doby, než byly zveřejněny všechny úspěšné decklisty.
Celkem se hrálo v patnácti státech a složení všech finálových decků bylo takovéto:

Nejzajímavější decky byly určitě dvě vítězné brew - UR Burn, kde oproti předchozím verzím nebyla jako hlavní engine karta Fevered Visions, kterou nahradila Dynavolt Tower a také Chandra, která zde také byla v playsetu.
A druhé vítězné brew byl BW Midrange. Šlo o planeswalker-heavy verzi, na které byla docela zajímavá skladba removalu. Ve velkém počtu tu byly Essence Extraction a Harsh Scrutiny. A zajímavé jsou i Deadlock Trapy, které tu pěkně spolupracovaly s Live Fast, což tu byla hlavní karetní výhoda (samozřejmě spolu se všemi planeswalkery).

Dále mě zaujaly ještě dva další decky. První jsou Bu Zombies s Distended Mindbendery a s playsetem Wharf Infiltratorů, což je tu karta s velmi pěknými synergiemi. A druhý deck je UR Aggro s artefaktovou tématikou, ve kterém kromě vehiclů a staple bytostí jako Inventor's Apprentice a Pia Nalaar najdeme také méně obvyklé kusy jako Saheeli Rai, Lathnu Hellion, nebo Built to Smash.

3. Online PTQ (Standard)
Do třetice standard, tentokráte z online prostředí. Posledního online PTQ se zúčastnilo 73 hráčů, což není příliš vysoké číslo, vzhledem k tomu, že z onlinu se vždy kvalifikuje celá první osmička.
V sedmi kolech základní části bylo na postup do top8 potřeba 6:1 a několika šťastlivcům stačilo i 5:2. Jedním z nich byl i Andrew Tenjum, který nakonec celý turnaj ovládl s UWR Midrangem vlastní konstrukce
Jeho deck na první pohled hodně připomínal vehicly, ale v decku bylo více midrange karet jako Avacyn a Nahiri (tu hrál pouze jakožto value kartu). Ještě zajímavější byla ale modrá splash pro Spell Quellera, Wandering Fumarole a další kántrování v sidu.
V top8 byly ještě dva další neobvyklé decky. První byl BG Selfmill s Decimatory of the Provinces, který obsadil třetí místo a druhý bylo Monored Aggro s madness tématikou, jenž skončilo na místě šestém.

4. Eternal Extravaganza 5 (Legacy & Vintage)
Americká eternal série pokračovala dalším dílem, který se konal v Baltimoru. Největší z main eventů byla samozřejmě legacy, které se zúčastnilo 290 hráčů.
Ve finále se střetly patrně dva nejlepší decky posledních pár let, Miracly a 4C Delver. Zvítězil Sam Roukas s Miracly. Konkrétně se jednalo verzi se Snapcastery, dvěma Predicty a také s dvojicí Entreatů, což není úplně obvyklé.
Poraženým finalistou byl Justin Parnell. Jeho verze 4C Delvera obsahovala maindeck Young Pyromancera a Cabal Therapie, od čehož se poslední dobou stále více upouští. Justin měl také v sidu jednu novou kartu, kterou byla Ceremonious Rejection.
V zbytku top8 byly další dvoje Miracly (oboje s Montorem), Infect, Death and Taxes, Punishing Maverick (s černou splasí pro Deathrite Shamana) a klasická verze Reanimátoru (UB se splashí pro Decay v sidu).

Vintage se zúčastnilo 114 hráčů a z vítězství se tu radoval Joe Brennan s klasickým Gush Mentorem, ve kterém byla z neobvyklých karet snad pouze jedna Narset Trandscendent v mainu.
Poraženým finalistou byl Zohar Bhagat s UWR Planeswalker Controlem, ve kterém nechybělo kombo Nahiri + Emrakul. V decku byla dokonce i jedna karta z Kaladeshe, kterou byla Fragmentize v sidu.
Třetí místo obsadil Brian Kelly s Oathy, ve kterých hrál Salvager kombo a jako další cíl pro Oath měl Dragonlorda Dromoku. Celkem vtipný mi přijde i Magus of the Moat v sidu, což je techovka proti Eldrazi (kromě toho tam byl i Blazing Archon).
Čtvrté místo patřilo Bradu Gutkinovi s Blue Moonem, ve kterém hrál zajímavé soft lock kusy jako Scab-Clan Berserker a Trinket Mage, který uměl najít Chalice of the Void, nebo Engineered Explosives. A zajímavá byla i nová Chandra, která byl v mainu jakožto one-of (předtím se docela běžně hrála i Chandra Flamecaller).
Ve zbytku top8 byl UW Landstill se Spell Quellery, 4C Gush Mentor (s černou výhradně kvůli Notion Thiefům), poté další klasický Gush Mentor a konečně i jeden Stax, ve kterém byly hned tři nové karty! Jednak to byla dvojice vehiclů, Fleetwheel Cruiser a Skysovereign a poté Inventor's Fair, který v decku funguje jako regulérní Demonic Tutor a navíc má parádní synergii s Cruciblem.
