Toulky po EDH 13: Jak vylepšit Commander 2017 decky

Pořídili jste si nějaký z Commander 2017 balíčků a rádi byste si jej vylepšili, ale nevíte jak? V tom případě je tu tento článek, kde najdete efektivní tipy pro vylepšení jednotlivých Commander 2017 decků.

Před několika týdny se na trh dostala každoroční edice Commanderu a určitě si přečtěte i recenzi Commander 2017 decků. Pokud jste si decky koupili, tak první, co vás po rozbalení napadne, je patrně otázka, jak decky vylepšit a ideálně při tom neutratit zbytečně velkou sumu.

A přesně tomu se budeme věnovat v dnešním článku. Na úvod podotýkám, že většina navrhovaných změn se ponese v casual duchu (asi každému dojde, že Sylvan Library bude dobrá adice do GW decku a Snapcaster Mage pěkně upgradne wizardy) a také budou ctít tribal tématiku všech decků.

Speciálně bych ale chtěl zdůraznit, že se vyplatí investovat do zemí, jelikož funkční manabase je základem úspěchu u každého decku. Při nejmenším bych doporučoval zařadit alespoň levnější země produkující dvě různé barvy - například země z M10, filtrovačky z Odyssey, duály z Batlle for Zendikar (ty jsou opravdu směšně levné), showlandy ze Shadows over Innistrad, nebo třeba i aktuální cyklovací duály.

Jako první se podíváme na kočky:

Feline Ferocity


1. Jednomanové kočky - je to možná překvapivé, protože casual commander se často hraje na třicet, nebo dokonce čtyřicet životů, ale s Arahbem jsou jednomanové kočky opravdu dobré. Nehratelná plíva jako Sacred Cat najednou vypadá trochu lépe, když může ve druhém kole útočit jako 4/4 lifelinker.

V deku zároveň chybí jedna z nejvíce ikonických bytostí s creature typem cat. Na mysli mám samozřejmě Savannah Lions. Jak mohl někdo navrhnout cat trbial bez téhle karty, to opravdu netuším...

2. Ajani Goldmane - bílá má k dispozici celou řadu výborných čtyřmanových planeswalkerů a ačkoli by taková Elspeth, nebo Gideon (Ally of Zendikar) byla lepší volba z pohledu power levelu, tak z hlediska flavoru jasně vítězí Ajani.

Osobně u tribal decků nerad porušuji vybranou tématiku (v medvědech nehraju Coat of Arms, protože má na obrázku gobliny) a proto mi Ajani jakožto kočičí planeswalker do decku přijde super. Permanentní posílení bytostí navíc obstojí před enchantment hatem, což nezvládají klasické posilovačky typu Glorious Anthem.

3. Kočky z Amonkhetu - jedno z ústředních témat decku jsou equipmenty, takže chápu, že přednost dostaly kočky z mirrorodinu, nicméně Amonkhet obsahuje několik pěkných kousků, které podle mě do decku jednoznačně patří. Nejlepší je jednoznačně kočičí náčelník, Regal Caracal a vejít by se měly i Pride Sovereign, Prowling Serpopard a Adorned Pouncer, který je opravdu smrtící v kombinaci s Arahbem.

4. Více removalu - je pravda, že v původní podobě má deck k dispozici dvoje hromadné ničení (Divine Reckoning navíc není úplně ideální), ale z vlastní zkušenosti mohu říci, že v multiplayeru se více takovýchto efektů nikdy neztratí. Kromě klasických čtyřmanovek (Wrath of God, Day of Judgment) doporučuji zejména vychytávku v podobě Harsh Mercy (tedy za předpokladu, že hrajete i s jinými decky, než z commanderu 2017 :) ).

Dále bych přidal i nějaký cílený removal - každý deck s bílou by měl obsahovat Swords to Plowshares a Path to Exile. A v multiplayeru se určitě neztratí ani univerzální kus jako Council's Judgment, nebo obyčejný Oblivion Ring.

5. Hledání equipmentů - v decku je celá řádka nejrůznějších equipmentů, ale jejich hledání je tam velmi omezené (Nazahn a Tar-Naj Swordsmith jsou navíc manově celkem náročné). Proto to bych do decku přidal nějaké další tutory, protože kusy jako Skullclamp, nebo Lightning Greaves se prostě hodí vždycky. Dva nejlepší tutory jsou podle mě Steelshaper's Gift a Open the Armory.

Přidal bych samozřejmě i pár dalších equipmentů. S generálem mi přijde hodně fajn Konda's Banner a tribal synergie s equipmentovou tématikou v sobě pěkně pojí i Stoneforge Masterwork.

6. Leonin Abunas - když už si dáte tu práci s tím, abyste si našli potřebný equipment do dané situace, tak by vás určitě nepotěšilo, kdyby ho soupeř zničil. A právě o to se umí postarat Leonin Abunas.

7. Kindred Boon & Teferi's Protection - obě karty jsou ve vampýřím decku, ale větší kus práce odvedu v kočkách, jelikož ty narozdíl od nich nemají tolik karetní výhody a jsou velmi náchylné na hromadné ničení.

8. Brimaz, King of Oreskos - skvělá midrange bytost, která dokáže sama ovládnout stůl, v EDH jedna z nejvšestranějších kočka vůbec.

9. Mirri's Guile - v decku není skoro žádná karetní selekce, takže se karta, která vám bude už od prvních kol vylepšovat draw jistě hodí, zvláště když má tak skvělý flavor.

Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has lifelink and trample. Equip {3}

Jazal Goldmane

First strike {3}{W}{W}: Attacking creatures you control get +X/+X until end of turn, where X is the number of attacking creatures.

Myriad Landscape

Myriad Landscape enters the battlefield tapped. {T}: Add {1} to your mana pool. {2}, {T}, Sacrifice Myriad Landscape: Search your library for up to two basic land cards that share a land type, put them onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle your library.

Soul's Majesty

Draw cards equal to the power of target creature you control.

Council's Judgment

Will of the council — Starting with you, each player votes for a nonland permanent you don't control. Exile each permanent with the most votes or tied for most votes.

Crushing Vines

Choose one — Destroy target creature with flying; or destroy target artifact.

When Leonin Relic-Warder enters the battlefield, you may exile target artifact or enchantment. When Leonin Relic-Warder leaves the battlefield, return the exiled card to the battlefield under its owner's control.

White Sun's Zenith

Put X 2/2 white Cat creature tokens onto the battlefield. Shuffle White Sun's Zenith into its owner's library.

Windbrisk Heights

Hideaway (This land enters the battlefield tapped. When it does, look at the top four cards of your library, exile one face down, then put the rest on the bottom of your library.) {T}: Add {W} to your mana pool. {W}, {T}: You may play the exiled card without paying its mana cost if you attacked with three or more creatures this turn.

Taj-Nar Swordsmith

When Taj-Nar Swordsmith enters the battlefield, you may pay {X}. If you do, search your library for an Equipment card with converted mana cost X or less and put that card onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library.

Sungrass Prairie

{1}, {T}: Add {G}{W} to your mana pool.

Harsh Mercy

Each player chooses a creature type. Destroy all creatures that aren't of a type chosen this way. They can't be regenerated.

Tranquil Thicket

Tranquil Thicket comes into play tapped. {T}: Add {G} to your mana pool. Cycling {G} ({G}, Discard this card from your hand: Draw a card.)

Exotic Orchard

Cultivate

Lifelink (Damage dealt by this creature also causes you to gain that much life.)

Kemba, Kha Regent

At the beginning of your upkeep, put a 2/2 white Cat creature token onto the battlefield for each Equipment attached to Kemba, Kha Regent.

Leonin Arbiter

Players can't search libraries. Any player may pay {2} for that player to ignore this effect until end of turn.

Draconic Domination


V dracích je největším kamanem úrazu manabase. Cyklus trilandů obsažený v decku je určitě fajn, ale kombinace zemí, které jdou do hry taplé a manově náročných bytostí, není úplně to pravé ořechové. Důrazně bych proto radil zde do manabáze trochu investovat. Reflcting Pool, Mana Confluence, nebo City of Brass nejsou zase tak drahé záležitosti a v multiplayeru se mi osvědčila i Exotic Orchard.

1. Zlevňovací efekty - casual hraní je do určité míry o velkých a drahých bytostech, ale když jsou dvě třetiny bytostí v decku za šest a více many, tak to určitě není příliš ideální. Proto bych do decku dal všechno zlevňování, které je k dispozici.

Nejlepší je stoprocentně Urza's Incubator a další možnosti jsou Heartless Summoning, Cloud Key, nebo karty, které obcházejí castění, jako třeba Belbe's Portal a pro extra stylové body zejména Dragon Arch.

2. Haste efekty - stejně jako zlevnění casting costu je fajn, když můžete s drakem, kterého jste právě zahráli, rovnou zaútočit. V decku jsou sice Lightning Greaves, ale to je podle mne málo. Karta, která vypadá pro draky jako namíru dělaná, je Temur Ascendancy a určitě bych zařadil i Fires of Yavimaya a Swiftfoot Boots

3. Manové urychlení - do třetice všeho dobrého tu máme další způsob, jak zahrát draky o pár kol rychleji. A je dost možné, že je tohle ten nejdůležitější bod ze všech tří, protože kromě mana rampy je v tom zahrnutá i manová fixace, která je pro pětibarvu naprosto zásadní.

V decku už některé základní kusy jako Farseek, Cultivate a Kodama's Reach, ale rozhodně bych se nebál přidat pár signetů, nebo další dvoumanové rampy jako třeba Rampant Growth, Sakura Tribe-Elder, nebo Nature's Lore. Speciální zmínka patří také Prismatic Geoscope, což není klasické manové urychlení, ale dokáže přidat opravdu velkou spoustu many, což tehle deck bez problémů využije.

4. Removal - tenhle deck je v podstatě kontrol, jehož herní strategie je v prvních kolech zahrát nějakou rampu, potom vyčistit stůl a nakonec vyhrát hru pomocí draků. K tomu, abyste mohli vyčistit stůl potřebujete více removalu, než kolik je v základní verzi decku (ačkoli tam jsou skvěle pasující karty v podobě Earthquaku a Crux of Fate).

Přidal bych nějaký mix levného zabíjení (Swords to Plowshares, Terminate), univerzálních odpovědí (Vindicate, Maelstrom Pulse) a hromadného zabíjení (Toxic Deluge, Supreme Verdict).

5. Nicol Bolas - když se řekne draci, tak první, co si vybavím, je Nicol Bolas. Jedna z nejdůležitějších postav v historii magicu, alespoň co se k příběhům k nejrůznějším edicím píše. Do decku se ideálně hodí jak samotný Elder-Dragon, tak i jeho planeswalker verze (nejlepší je podle mne původní Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker). Elder Dragon je zároveň velmi dobrý cíl pro kopírovací abilitu u Sciona of the Ur-Dragon, ačkoli to není kombinace, kterou byste si v multiplayeru udělali příliš kamarádů...

6. Dragonlordi z Dragons of Tarkir - jeden z nejlepších dračích cyklů všech dob. Kusy jako Dragonlord Ojutai, Dragonlord Atarka a Dragonlord Silumgar by v decku rozhodně neměly chybět. V závislosti na vaší metagame může být fajn i Dromoka, která ztěžuje život monoblue deckům.

7. Další zajímaví draci - v historii magicu vyšlo opravu velké množství nejrůznějších draků, takže je dost složité vybrat jenom pár těch nejlepších. Mezi dobré volby patří draci s nižším mana costem, kteří mají dobrý poměr cena/výkon, což jsou například Thunderbreak Regent, Thundermaw Hellkite, Strombreath Dragon, nebo aktuální standard allstar, Glorybringer.

Výborný, leč většinou opomíjený kus je Balefile Dragon, který je naprosto smrtící pro všechny creature decky, jako jsou například kočky... A pokud hrajete ve dvojících, tak byste neměli zapomenout na Kokusha.

8. Dračí tutory - občas se hodí najít toho správného draka, například Dragonlord Silumgara proti nepříjemnému planeswalkerovi, nebo Glorybringera k odstranění nepříjemné bytosti. K tomu kromě osvědčených klasik (Demonic Tutor, Eladamri's Call) lze použít dvojici stylových tutorů v podobě Sarkhan's Triumph a také Dragonstormu, který je speciálně smrtící ve čtyřhře, kde vám se stormem pomůže spoluhráč.

9. Jiné karty s dračím flavorem - na závěr jsem si nechal několik karet s pěknou dračí tématikou. Levná a stylová winkondice může být Dragonmaster Outcast. Skvělá politická karta do multiplayeru je Death by Dragons - naštval vás někdo Counterspellem? Draci mu to oplatí!

A zaomenout nemůžu ani na druhého dračího planeswalkera po boku Nicol Bolase, kterým je Sarkhan. Ten vyšel v několika různých variantách, z nichž se mi nejvíce líbí Sarkhan Unbroken, hlavně díky ultimátce, která je v tomhle decku prostě snová.

Vampiric Bloodlust


1. Shared Animosity & Anointed Procession - Edgar Markov je nesmírně silný generál, jelikož dává aggru karetní výhodu, se kterou může soupeř jenom těžko interagovat. Tyhle dvě karty s ním mají ukázkovou spolupráci a jsou tedy nejsnažším vylepšením pro deck.

2. Sorin, Lord of Innistrad & Sorin, Solemn Visitor - zajímavé, jak všechny vybrané tribaly mají k dispozici "tribal" planeswalkera. Náhoda? Nemyslím si...

Kromě toho, že je Sorin pěkná flavor edice do dcku se také čirou náhodou oba čtyřmanoví pěkně doplňují s generálem. Zejména Solemn Visitor dokáže hru poměrně lehce vyhrát sám o sobě - ať už je to díky masivnímu lifegainu, nebo velmi lehce dosažitelné ultimátní schopnosti, která zničí všechny potvůrkové decky.

3. Urge to Feed a další removal - už jsem lehce naznačil, že posílit tokeny vyráběné Edgarem není úplně špatný nápad a když při tom ještě odstraníte nepohodlnou bytost, tak se určitě nebudete zlobit.

Na rozdíl od ostatních decků bych řekl, že je tu docela pěkná skladba removalu, ale chybí mi tu například Terminate a neztratily by se určitě ani karty jako Vindicate a Hero's Downfall.

4. Cover of Darkness - posílit bytosti je sice fajn, ale dát jim "neblokovatelnost", to je úplně jiný level...

5. Stensia Masquerade - karta přímo stvořená pro vampýří tribal, ztěžuje soupeřům blokování, což je pro agresivní deck ideální a zároveň zajišťuje, že vyrobení tokeni začnou velmi rychle představovat vážný problém.

6. Bloodline Keeper - karetní výhoda a posilovací efekt v jednom

7. Voldaren Pariah - přebyteční tokeni se dají zkombinovat nejen s posilovacími efekty, ale také muhou posloužit jako hromadné zabíjení. Díky tomu, že tokenů budete mít povětšinou dostatek, jsem ochoten ve většině situací podstoupit riziko, kdy Pariaha soupeř v reakci zabije a vám zbydou jenom oči pro pláč.

8. Obelisk of Urd - poslední způsob, jak dobře využít tokeny. Mnohdy budete schopní tuhle kartu zahrát bez možnosti placení manou a posílení o dva je už opravdu znatelná výhoda.

9. Patriarch's Bidding - díky zabudované karetní výhodě je deck poměrně resilientní vůči hromadnému ničení, nicméně mít v decku takovouhle kartu se určitě hodí. Kromě toho, že je to noční můra pro kontroly a midrange decky také má některé pěkné synergie se sacrifice outlety, například pokud můžete obětovat všechny bytosti s Kalastria Highborn ve hře a potom je hned vrátíte zpět...

10. Midrange bytosti - deck je v první řadě hlavně aggro, ale vampýři mají k dispozici kusy jako Kalitas, nebo Olivia Voldaren, které umí vyhrát hru samy o sobě.

11. Další dobří vampýři - existuje celá řada dalších vampýrů, které můžete do decku přidat. Můžete například zařadit co největší počet jednomanových vampýrů a spolehnout se na 100% agresivní strategii, což je podle mě v multiplayeru zase není tak dobré. Rozhodně bych ale do decku přidal všeobecně dobré bytosti jako už zmiňovaná Kalastria Highborn, Vampire Hexmage (zabíjení planeswalkerů), nebo Falkenrath Aristocrat.

Arcane Wizardry


1. Levná interakce & karetní selekce - wizardi nejsou příliš známí tím, že by měli velké proporce do kombatu, nýbrž jako value bytosti, které se snaží hru kontrolovat. Proto by celkově v decku mělo být více interakce se soupeřem a karetní manipulace.

Levné cantripy jako Ponder a Brainstorm jsou jasná volba, ale fajn jsou i karty jako Impulse a Compulsive Research. Co se týče removalu, tak tady bych přidal svůj oblíbený Hero's Downfall a plošné ničení typu Toxic Deluge, či Damnation. A nebál bych se hrát ani pár kántrspellů, ať už přímo Counterspell, Exclude, Sage's Dousing, nebo utility kusy tyu Summary Dismissal, který umí zrušit ultimátku planeswalkera, nebo trigger u velkých eldrazi.

2. Riptide Laboratory & Crystal Shard - hlavní předností Inally je zneužívání bytostí se zajímavými etb triggery a obě karty vám umožňují opakovaně takové bytosti používat, nebo je jednoduše ochrání před soupeřovým zabíjením.

3. Riptide Director & Distant Melody - proč nevyužít toho, že jsou v decku tirbal synergie a namísto provařené modré karetní výhody nezařadit i pár pěkných tribal kusů.

4. Future Sight & Cyclonic Rift - dvě z njelepších modrých karet pro casual hraní. Future Sight představuje pro kontrolní decky neuvěřitelnou karetní výhodu do late gamu (obzvlášť pokud hrajete například Sensei's Divining Top) a Cyclonic Rift představuje obrovskou tempo výhodu, díky které často relativně snadno dotáhnete hru do vítězného konce.

5. Venser, Shaper Savant - výborná tempo karta a pokud vás někdo vyloženě naštve, tak ho můžete použít jako soft lock s Inallou, kdy vyrobeným tokenem vždy vrátíte originálního Vensera do ruky.

6. Baral Chief of Compliance & Docent of Perfection - pokud uposlechnete moji radu a do decku přidáte více levné interakce, tak tyhle karty s ní budou skvěle spolupracovat. Docent je zároveň jedna z mála karet v decku, která umožňuje použít "ultimátní" abilitu Inally.

7. Dualcaster Mage - tahle karta se mi hrozně líbila, když poprvé vyšla v commanderu 2014, ale postupně jsem zjistil, že její efekt je příliš situační a z většiny decků jsem ji nakonec vyřadil. Tady se ale tak pěkně doplňuje s generálem, že mi přijde škoda ji nevyzkoušet.

8. Mystical Teachings - když už do decku přidáte nějakou tu interakci se soupeřem, tak by bylo docela užitečné, kdybyste ji mohli v tu správnou chvíli využít. A k tomu se Teachingy skvěle hodí, kromě hledání kántrspellů a removalu umí najít i často rozhodující Cyclonic Rift a také, na což se dost často zapomíná, může hledat i bytosti jako Venser a právě zmiňovaný Dualcaster Mage.

9. Další dobří wizardi - v historii magicu vyšlo opravdu přehršel vynikajících wizardů, takže je při úpravách decku opravdu z čeho vybírat. Podle mě by v decku rozhodně neměla chybět dvojka Patron Wizard a Voidmage Prodigy (ten tvoří zajímavý lock spolu s Havengful Lichem), dále bych přidal Grim Lavamancera jakožto další levnou interakci a vyzkoušel bych i Sigil Tracera, což je další pěkná tribal karta, která zejména v multiplayeru vždycky najde dobrý cíl pro zkopírování.

10. Alms Collector - zajímavě vypadající abilita, nicméně neobchází karty typu Phyrexian Arena, Ponder, Preordain apod. Pokud přímo nezareagujete na soupeřův Brainstorm, či Jace, tak bude dost nevýrazný.

9. Stalking Leonin - slušná bytost do útoku, která soupeři ztěžuje damage race

8. Path of Ancetry - fixuje manu a creature deckům poskytuje extra value. Nejsem si ale jistý, jestli taplý příchod do hry není moc velká nevýhoda.

7. Taigam, Ojutai Master - skvělá value bytost pro kontrolní decky, ale nejsem si jistý, ale počáteční investice čtyř man bez okamžité vlivu na hru není až moc velkou překážkou

6. Curse of Verbocity - zajímavá karetní výhoda pro modré tempo decky. Ve správném decku půjde de facto o Phyrexian Arenu bez nevýhody.

5. Arahbo, Roar of the World - že by se kočky staly kompetitivním tribalem? Arahbo představuje velké množství damage hned od prvních kol a dělá z každé malé bytosti velkou hrozbu pro soupeře.

4. Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist - skvělá útočně laděná bytost do agresivních decků typu White Weenie, kde by zároveň mohlo jít o fajn generála.

3. Kess, Dissident Mage - pěkná value bytost pro kontrol, ačkoli je manově docela náročná. Může to být ale zajímavý generál, pokud ji spárujete s velkým množstvím levného removalu a karetní selekce.

2. Mathas, Fiend Seeker - agresivní bytost, která má potenciál karetní výhody, to bude skvělé jak pro čistě agresivní decky, tak i pro různé vícebarevné midrange.

1. Edgar Markov - kontroly čekají zlé časy, nikdy nekončící přísun vampírů, který obchází kántrování a vysmívá se spot removalu, to je sen každého milovníka bytůstkových aggro decků. Troufnu si říci, že zejména ve french variantě commandera půjde o velmi problémovou kartu a moc bych se nedivil, kdyby se časem dostal mezi seznam zakázaných generálů.

A to je pro dnešek vše, užívejte si hraní s novými decky a přeji hodně pěkných tribal soubojů.

Ahoj, pěkný článek.

Rád bych si ujasnit pravidla, týkající se Inally. Pokud si vytvořím token legendárního wizarda, stihne případný ETB efekt zacílit kopírovaného wizarda, dříve, než musím jednoho odstranit kvůli legendárnímu pravidlu? V jakém pořadí se tyto efekty vyhodnotí?

Ak sa rozhodneš nechať si token a nie original, tak samozrejme ho cieliť môžeš. Ale až po vyhodnotení sba.
1. vytvorí sa token, spustí sa jeho trigger
2. sba (jeden wizard musí do hrobu)
3. trigger ide na stack a až vtedy si vyberáš target.

Hraju tedy Vensera, Shaper Savant. Může to vypadat takhle?

1. kouzlím Vensera
2. na stack jde triger Vensera a triger Innaly po příchodu Vensera, (předpokládám že zároveň, takže já si určuji pořadí jak je vyhodnotím.)
3. Vyhodnotím ETB Vensera.
4. ETB Inally - zaplatím jednu manu a vytvořím token - ETB Tokenu
5. V ramci sba jde token do hrobu
6. zpracovává se ETB tokenu a cílím Vensera, který se mi vrací na ruku.

Chapu to správně?

Ono to môžeš spraviť aj tak, že origo vensera si vrátiš na ruku s jeho vlastným triggerom, stačí, ak ako prvú necháš vyhodniť abilitu Innaly, ktorej token vráti na ruku druhý permanent.
